Each and every one of the innovations exhibited will be candidates for the International Grand Prize for Inventions, with the following categories:

2 Galácticas de Oro – 2 Golden Galácticas
For those innovations whose development will have a decisive impact in their respective area or field of application.

10 Galácticas de Plata – 10 Silver Galácticas
For the most innovative and noteworthy innovations

1 Galáctica Junior – 1 Junior Galáctica
For the best innovation presented by under 18s.

1 Galáctica Universitaria – 1 University Galáctica
For the most outstanding innovation presented by university students, university centres or technical centres linked to the university.

These awards will be judged by a jury made up of professionals and experts in various fields of science and technology. The jury will visit the exhibition area during the morning of Friday 15th of September.

Different independent entities, although backed up by the jury for the International Grand Prize for Inventions will award the following:


Special Prize from the Oficina Española de Patentes y Marcas (OEPM)

Special Prize from the Ayuntamiento de Vilanova i la Geltrú (the most outstanding innovation in the field of Public Services)

Special Prize from the Asociación de Empresarios del Garraf, Alt Penedès y Baix Penedès (the most outstanding innovation presented by inventors from Garraf y del Penedès)

Special Prize from the Delegación al Garraf de la Cámara de Comercio de Barcelona (the most outstanding innovation in the field of New Technology)

Special Prize from the Colegio de Ingenieros Técnicos Industriales de Vilanova i la Geltrú (the most outstanding innovation in Environmental engineering)

The visiting public will also be able to vote in the urns located in the exhibition hall for the following:

Galáctica de la Prensa – Press Galáctica
Voted for by members of the media

Galáctica Profesional – Professional Galáctica
Voted by professional and business visitors

Galáctica del Inventor – Inventors Galáctica
Voted by the exhibitors themselves

Galáctica Popular – Popular Galáctica
Voted by the general public


Voting forms will be handed out, individually, at the accreditation desks (professionals and press), ticket offices (visitors in general) along with the welcoming information for the exhibitors (one voting form for each exhibitor).
